Us JONES & WALKER, P.C. is a professional law corporation. We
practice real estate law. But above all, if you look at what
we do day by day, we are people in the business of serving other
people...usually people involved in one of the most significant
decisions and investments of their lives. If you visited our
office on a typical day you would find phones ringing incessantly,
fax machines (there are four of them) humming, piles of thick
files, high-powered copy machines churning out reams of paper,
folks moving around who seem to know exactly what they are doing,
and others intently working computers ... folks for whom lunch
hour is a luxury and five o’clock quitting time something on
a wish list. Yet, through it all, even with the stress
of deadlines and crisis management, a happy crew that focuses
on serving others. That’s the way it’s been through some 45,000
real estate closings. And the way it will be through the next
45,000.
Here’s some background on our attorneys.

Bob Jones, a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School,
has practiced law since 1974. He went to college at Davidson
and has graduate degrees from Yale and Duke. He is a former
Mayor of Virginia Beach, and is currently chairman of the Virginia
Beach Development Authority. He’s also listed in Who’s Who in
America and Who's Who in American Law. He serves on the board
of a number of community organizations and each week teaches
an adult Sunday School class at his church. With a background
of trial work and business law, Bob now practices mainly in
real estate. |

Susan Walker graduated from the University of Virginia, where
she was both a Jefferson Scholar and an Echols Scholar. She
studied law at the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College
of William and Mary, and excelled in trial advocacy by winning
the school’s moot court competition, from which she went on
to excel in national competition. Starting her practice of law
as a generalist with a wide variety of cases and trials, she
now devotes her talents and skills to the very sizable real
estate practice she manages. |

Kathryn
Although fairly new to the field, Kathryn has become a hit with the
many clients and real estate agents who have had the pleasure
of working with her. Her pleasant demeanor and calm,
meticulous approach to processiing papers for closings combine
to make a superb person to work with.
